Galveston Waders found fish on the incoming tide on Corkies and soft plastics. Light winds and green water allowed drifters a shot at deep shell. Matagorda Guide Ken Marshall reported good catches of trout while drifting with plastics and live shrimp. Wind was less than 5 knots and water was green. Outdoors report: Jan. 25

Waders have found best catches in the afternoon on the incoming tide on flats adjacent to deep channels. More green-winged teal have shown with the recent front; however, with more water on the prairies and marshes, ducks have dispersed. The Light Goose Conservation Order starts Monday, and prospects look good.
