HR&G reported trout to 29 inches on soft plastics worked over shell. Catfish are good on stinkbaits and chicken livers in the river channel.Matagorda Guide Tommy Alexander reported limits of trout and scattered redfish on Norton Sand Shad while wading over sand and grass.

Outdoors report: March 6

Outdoors report Inshore Winds gusted to 30 knots from the north, northwest and dropped tides two feet or more. Low Water Advisories are in effect for the entire coast. North winds are forecasted through the weekend. Freshwater Guide Simon Cosper reported excellent catches of white bass on Lake Livingston on spoons and jigs. Outdoors report: Feb. 28

Outdoors report Inshore Stiff north winds made for tough seas. Most anglers stayed close to the dock. Scattered redfish were found around Moses Lake. Lake Livingston White bass action is good in the creeks and rivers. Tube jigs and Rat-L-Traps have been best. Sabine River Spawning action for white bass has been consistent in spoons and Roadrunners.
