Outdoors report: Jan. 11

Guide Kirk Stansel of HR&G reported limits shoot of green-winged teal, gadwalls and pintails in the marsh. Pintail Hunting Club and guide Scott Clary has impressive straps as well. Ducks were beginning to trickle back to the marsh in good numbers, but expect new runoff from rains to scatter ducks again.

Guide James Plaag of Silver King Adventures reported limits of trout to five pounds over mud on pink Top Dogs and 51 MirrOlures. Guide Brian Davenport of Fin and Fowl Outfitters said habitat conditions in the marsh and high ground east of Houston look good with lots of water available for waterfowl.
