Guide James Plaag of Silver King Adventures reported scattered catches of trout and redfish around daylight and dark on Slammin' Chicken Bass Assassins. Guide Butch Terpe reported a good black bass bite to five pounds on lizards, Senkos and jigs. Water temps were running 72 degrees in some coves.

Guide Brian Davenport of Fin and Fowl Outfitters said habitat conditions in the marsh and high ground east of Houston look good with lots of water available for waterfowl.
