Outdoors report Inshore Most of the upper and middle coasts were a wash due to rain. More rain is in the forecast for today. Many captains have said they have seen benefits from the freshwater with more crabs, shad and minnows. The topwater bite has been solid along the entire coast. Outdoors report: April 10

Incoming tides have raised water levels and send bait and fish to the back lakes. Guide Ray Sexton reported trout to 29 inches and limits of redfish on Down South Lures while wading sand and grass. Toms are still chasing hens and gobbling on most ranches, but look for gobblers to become quieter in the coming days after most hens have been bred.
