Southeast winds have encouraged birds to decoying more consistently. Tides were 2 feet below normal, but some water returned with southeast winds. The prairie remains wet, which bodes well for habitat, but tougher for hunters as birds have more water to choose.

water levels rose throughout the day as southeast winds returned. Crappie action has picked up in about 25-30 feet of water on minnows near brush piles. Lots of water on the prairie has scattered birds, but an influx of green-winged teal has helped fill bags.
