To Vacation or Not

Over the past year, the weak economy has taken its toll on many individuals and families out there, making us cut back on the things that we enjoy that aren’t actually necessities. Fewer people have the funds to travel, meaning there are discounted cruise vacations and other travel packages out there as companies try to drive up interest. However, many people, even those who haven’t lost their jobs, feel that it’s better to save than spend right now. Is it really worth taking advantage of those airline tickets specials?

For some people, it can be. Difficult times lead to higher levels of stress; taking time off to relax can be a boon for both your health and state of mind. Spending money on a vacation also contributes to reinvigorating the economy. So don’t feel bad about indulging in that hotel suite deal if you can still pay your bills afterward.
