But according to The New Yorker, millions of other people have embraced the concept of “couch surfing.” By signing up on sites such as CouchSurfing.org, they can host travelers from around the world at their home or find a free place to stay while traveling.
The advantages for doing this are more than just economical. Many people who are involved with couch surfing say that hosting travelers from other countries gives them a chance to meet a diverse group of people and expand their worldview without leaving their homes.
