The 2010-2011 waterfowl hunting season dates have been approved by the Ohio Wildlife Council, with the opening date being Oct. 16. Hunters ages 15 and younger will have an opportunity to enjoy a special statewide season Oct. 2-3.

Outdoors: High Court Affirms Second Amendment Rights - From the Poughkeepsie Journal

In a June 28 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a decision written by Justice Samuel Alito, settled a longstanding question: Does the individual right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment apply to the states and local governments? The high court has ruled that the individual is protected all the way down to the state and local government level.
