Guide Harold Dworaczyk of Bay Flats Lodge reported limits of trout to 21 inches while drifting with live shrimp in 4-6 feet of water. Guide Simon Cosper reported good numbers of blue cats in 2-5 feet of water on shad fished on the bottom along main lake points. White bass have been found schooling under birds and good on topwaters and spinnerbaits.

Oversized black drum are making a run in the channel. Cracked blue crabs have been the bait of choice. Guide Harold Dworaczyk of Bay Flats Lodge reported limits of trout to 24 inches while drifting over deep shell with live shrimp.

HR&G reported trout to 29 inches on soft plastics worked over shell. Catfish are good on stinkbaits and chicken livers in the river channel.Matagorda Guide Tommy Alexander reported limits of trout and scattered redfish on Norton Sand Shad while wading over sand and grass.

Outdoors report Inshore Stiff north winds made for tough seas. Most anglers stayed close to the dock. Scattered redfish were found around Moses Lake. Lake Livingston White bass action is good in the creeks and rivers. Tube jigs and Rat-L-Traps have been best. Guide Kirk Stansel of HR&G reported limits shoot of green-winged teal, gadwalls and pintails in the marsh. Pintail Hunting Club and guide Scott Clary has impressive straps as well. Ducks were beginning to trickle back to the marsh in good numbers, but expect new runoff from rains to scatter ducks again.
